Excellent Book! I wish I had this while I was in school!!
This is an excellent textbook...the best guide to laboratory tests I've ever come across! Not just the usual regurgitated lab numbers...this gives you the "real world" information you need to apply what you've learned clinically. It emphasizes understanding the "why" behind things, instead of rote memorization of isolated facts. It also includes detailed case studies that show you how the lab tests are used in real living, breathing patients. Highly recommended! Well worth the money!
